The folder C:\Windows\Fonts
has been a “special” folder at least since Windows 7, and will appear in the File Explorer as shown below:
Other “non-special” folders will appear as follows:
I'm trying to “clean up” my archive of font-files, and possibly replace older fonts with more recent versions of same. To do this, I need to be able to view the installed fonts folder (C:\Windows\Fonts
) as though it were a normal folder - but without actually modifying the folder properties (which would risk breaking lots of stuff). How can I do this?
